The Brand Mark

The client expressed interest in a logo that depicted a sunrise. Through several designs, this final concept occurred—almost by mistake—and it perfectly embodied Small City Innovators.

The brand mark contains multiple visual representations: it depicts the sun rising over a city block corner, and the sun and outer buildings come together to create a pair of headphones.

The Logotype

The SCI logotype pairs two contrasting weights of Roobert, a sans-serif font created by Displaay Type Foundery. The variation in weight places emphasis on “Small City” and allows “Innovators” to be interchanged with other nouns. This gives the brand the flexibility to highlight various qualities of small cities.
